SLIM performed at a special event this weekend hosted by landlords Kim and Simon of The Blue Anchor in Helston to thank musicians for their support with the HELSTONBURY FESTIVAL. Every year the event raises funds to support local charities. This was the 4th show this weekend for SLIM who also filled in on Thursday at The Brook in Plympton for Steve Black & Alan West as well as The Carpenters in Metherell and The Fisherman’s in Looe – all of which were a great success. Slim seems to be going from strength to strength. Take a look at his new ‘family members’ in the photo….. he’s on a roll!
Slim had a great time playing for an enthusiastic audience at The Ocean City Blues Festival in Plymouth, UK, this weekend. The sound engineers literally had to sweep the water off of the stage before setting up for Slim! However, all was good for a great set. Thanks to all of those who came out to support him!
Slim is back from a great month touring the USA. He played at Evangeline’s in St Louis, MO, Scottie’s Grill, Texarkana, TX, Fully Stacked, Shreveport, LA, Huey’s Midtown Blues, Brews & Burgers, Memphis, TN and the Pourhouse in Nashville, TN. All venues were well received and welcomed him back. In Memphis he received a particulary good response from the locals and even got kuddos from an old band mate of Elvis! A lot of miles on open roads through cotton fields, Mexican food, a wedding (his son, Stephen & Amber), and good old Southern hospitality. I went with Slim to his old stompin’ ground in Texas, met up with old friends, and generally had a blast! Jayne
The latest new release by Slim titled “‘Til The Wheels Fall Off” is out now! A single inspired by legendary musician, Wilko Johnson, the original guitar player of the band Dr. Feelgood, who upon hearing he had terminal pancreatic cancer and only had a few months to live, felt more alive than he ever had. Despite his diagnosis, he continued to perform until a doctor was unexpectedly able to cure him by removing a football sized tumour. “Man, there’s nothing like being told you’re dying to make you feel alive”, says Wilko.

SLIM WITH SLASH, The Rainbow Room, L.A.
Back in L.A. in 2004, Slim had the pleasure of interviewing Slash from Guns N’Roses for a new documentary they were working on at that time. Finally released, the film which is titled, “The Life, Blood and Rhythm of Randy Castillo” is a story of the late legendary drummer who played with Ozzy Osborne, Motley Crue and Lita Ford among other great artists.

“Watching Slim move between a whole host of instruments is quite something – to see this one man band in front of your own eyes makes you appreciate the skill it takes to accompany this type of playing.” – Emily Smith, The Herald, March 7, 2015
